Keep it up and stay motivated&lt;3 :)</title><description>&lt;p&gt;Aww thank you! I honestly haven’t had much time to work out lately, with classes coming to an end and EVERYTHING being due. lol. But I try to do a couple hundred (2-3) jumping jacks, 200-250 crunches, and Pop Pilates’ leg workout (&lt;a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UT4UlsoQchY"&gt;http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UT4UlsoQchY&lt;/a&gt;) everyday. Usually either right when I wake up or right before bed. That leg workout is super intense, though!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;My meal plan is even less structured. As soon as I wake up I down a glass of ice water and eat either a Special K bar, a FiberOne bar, a banana with peanut butter, or a combination of those. I keep drinking ice water throughout the morning and usually don’t feel hungry again until early afternoon. For lunch I usually eat a can of Chicken Noodle soup (I LOVE soup) and some green beans and applesauce or a banana. For dinner, depending on my schedule for the day, I usually eat whatever I have prepared for the week. (These meals are generally very bean-heavy: ham and beans, chili, etc.) For snacks I munch on dry honey-nut cheerios. 3/4 cup is only 110 calories! I’m rarely still hungry after dinner, but if I am I try to drink a couple glasses of water to make sure that I’m not just thirsty, and thinking that I’m hungry. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;For me, the biggest change I have made is to drastically cut down on fast food. I used to eat something like McDonald’s AT LEAST twice a day. Now I reserve it for weekends when I absolutely MUST eat something convenient (like when I’m running late to work or something). And I drink a ton of water. Like, 10-15 glasses a day, if I had to estimate.&lt;/p&gt;

This message struck me, and for a while I didn’t know how exactly to respond to it. After much consideration, I have this to say:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Before I started my weight-loss journey, I was consuming almost nothing except fast food. I never really counted calories, but I estimate that I was eating around 2000-2200 calories per day, not counting Oreo binges or late-night runs to Taco Bell, etc. Also, I was drinking copious amounts of alcohol nearly every weekend and rarely (as in maybe once a week) drinking a glass of water. Oh, and I never worked out. Nothing.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Since starting, I have changed nearly everything about my diet and lifestyle. I still drink occasionally, but I usually use Diet Orange Soda as a mixer, which helps to cut useless calories. (Please don’t message me about the harmful effects of Diet soda. I completely understand the risks involved.)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;My initial reaction upon reading this message was to get defensive. But then I realized that there is a lot that I don’t post on here. I truly believe that I am &lt;strong&gt;not&lt;/strong&gt; “forcing my body into starvation mode” (I didn’t put that in quotes to be snippy, I’m just indicating that these were not my original words. I’m an English major, it’s a habit. :)). I eat three meals every day, consisting of fiber, protein, healthy carbs and fats, etc. I eat fruit and (try to) eat vegetables every day as well. I have switched from white bread to whole grain. I am constantly hydrated and eat snacks throughout the day. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Most importantly, &lt;strong&gt;I listen to my body.&lt;/strong&gt; If I am hungry, I eat. But first, I always check to determine if I’m just dehydrated. If I still feel hungry after drinking a glass of water, &lt;strong&gt;I eat. &lt;/strong&gt;The major difference is that instead of satisfying my hunger with greasy cheeseburgers or fried chicken, I eat a piece of fruit or make myself a small salad. Then I give my body time to determine if it is satisfied. And usually, it is. There are times when I know that I haven’t eaten much, but I certainly will not force feed myself when my body is telling me that it is content.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Throughout this journey, I have learned to recognize what my body is telling me it needs. However, it is my decision to give it good, healthy fuel instead of fatty, unnecessary fuel.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Again, I truly appreciate the concern of my followers.&lt;/strong&gt; I will never disregard anything anyone says to me because I know that you are trying to help me. And that alone means the world to me. I'm having such a hard time losing weight :( I'm more or less around your same weight I'm just a bit shorter. Help, please? :)</title><description>&lt;p&gt;First of all, I have cut fast food almost completely out of my diet. I still have it on weekends, &lt;em&gt;sometimes&lt;/em&gt;, but I keep track of how much I’m eating/whether I’m legitimately hungry, or just craving, etc.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Second, I drink &lt;strong&gt;a lot &lt;/strong&gt;of water. At least 2 liters everyday, if not more.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;So here is my general day:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;-I ALWAYS eat breakfast, usually a Fiber One bar. They’re super filling and give me about 35% of my fiber for the day.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;-I usually eat something light for lunch, like Chicken Noodle Soup or maybe a Stouffer’s Baked Chicken Breast frozen dinner (they’re amazingly delicious for a frozen meal, and only 250 calories!). Or, if I have any, I eat an Oscar Mayer cracker combinations lunchable (super convenient for on-the-go).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;-I accompany one of those lunches with either a Mott’s lite applesauce(50 calories) or a banana with a little peanut butter (around 180 calories).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;-For snacking, I pack a little baggy with 3/4 cup of Honey Nut Cheerios. Only 110 calories, and they really fill me up if I get a little hungry between meals.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;-I make huge batches of things like ham and beans, or taco chili every week for dinner. The beans are packed with protein and fiber. They’re super filling, so I’m rarely hungry after dinner.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;-I’m constantly sipping on water throughout the day. I can’t even count how many times I need to refill my water bottle/cup. Before I decided to get fit and healthy I never really drank water by itself. Now I can’t get enough of it.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;-Finally, I listen to my body. If I’m hungry, I eat. The biggest difference I have made is that instead of going for cheeseburgers or fries, ice cream or cookies, I eat a banana. Or maybe a small salad.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;As for working out, it’s really hard to fit into my school/work schedule. Luckily I have a lengthy break on Thursdays, so I try to get as much cardio in then as possible. For example, today I spent about an hour on the treadmill and elliptical and burned 401 calories. I also do between 100-200 crunches every day and maybe some leg exercises if I remember. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I hope this helps! Just remember, it takes time! Don’t give up after 1 day, 1 week, or even 1 month. Good things come to those who wait. :) …yep, I really just said that cliche.
